Again, where are the like/dislike buttons on debates?

They were taken away since you can "like" debates through facebook now.

Yes, but not everyone has Facebook. At least I do not, but liking/disliking a debate through the classic option is easier and better. If it has -10 then clearly it is a trollish debate or something similar, so you do not waste time reading it etc.

@Moderators: I was wondering what the criteria were for determining the most popular debates. It seems kind of arbitrary, seeing as RoyLatham's "Obama has botched the recovery" debate has been #1 for months now, even though the comments and views have remained relatively stable at zero.

Could it be changed to more accurately reflect popularity?

It could at least show a count of likes on the page. An independent dislike count would be nice too.

It wasn't removed. It had only gone down the list as any other thread would.

I wasn't here for the beginning of the conversation but from the sound of it (and also because the thread is only 3 years old and I know there are users who are 4 years old) there was once a time when debate.org had no forums.

I shall now put my own two cents into this thread of history.

I am a bench because my name is Dan Bench, hence im literally a bench, and thats why i chose this as my name.

And thats all I have to say :D
First Ima Revolution = 4/28/11
Second Ima Revolution = 10/31/11
Avatar week pick = 11/14/11

WARNING: Do not take anything I say seriously, I am insane unless proven otherwise just like everyone else on DDO. If though you use this quote in my sig to try to discredit my arguments over something, then im probably right and youre probably an idiot

The Godfather of the DDO mafia that controls the site, but done tell anyone ;D

For entry to annals of history.

Being a sky-pirate is not career. It is a life. A way of being, existing. To feel the wind coursing through your hair at 2000 meters. The blood of a kill splashing across your face. The joy of a fresh plunder.
It is not a life for everyone. Only the toughest, the smartest, the most cunning survive. A sky-pirate captain has hardest task of all. Not only is he the figurehead of the ship, which is a community in itself, he must select and lead some of the toughest and most psychopathic individuals in the world. One wrong choice in crew and he will die. One wrong choice in leadership and he will die.
So why do it, I here you ask? For glory and for the freedom it brings. The loot is secondary. The sky-pirate life comes first.
For honour, for glory. For the open sky!
