I found out that some radio stations purposely slow down the tempo of the songs they play on their stations. So, they deliberately make the song longer, but the average listener doesn't pick up the subtle difference.

What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear this?

I realized that what sticks out at you, whether there would be benefits, ramifications, why they would do that? etc... What you think of right away can be a quick synopses of the kind of person you are.

I know what I thought of, but I want to hear what others think.

To save some on royalty in that they can play fewer songs per session/day, which also means that they can spam more ads in between the songs.
Money talks, BS walks.
