Are they serious?

Like, is this a joke, or is this really forreal?

Lol, there was once a time... when Sparknotes was part of my everyday life... xD And this is just hilarious to me.

Instead of the C-word that rhymes with blunt: Vagina
I have a very hard time taking seriously the political philosophy of someone who defends the Borg.

"Plastered" of course..

I feel like I should post something of substance now...

This kind of censorship defeats the purpose. If parents want to know what their kids are reading, they should make a point of being aware of it. Otherwise writers should continue to write exactly what is necessary to convey what they are trying to convey.

I knew all the rhymes instantly ... makes me feel old.

So, dagnabbit, will reading seven cuss words per hour corrupt our youth? The most famous example is Mark Twain's character N-word Jim in Huckleberry Finn. N-word Jim was a more noble person than those that put him down, a point that the name underscored. Huckleberry Finn is widely banned.

I think that whether cuss-words have bad effect depends upon the context. The same is true of violence. Good literature reflects a cultural context in a way that can be understood.
