The game I played that was most addicting was The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate destruction. You could fight against 5 tanks, 5 helicopters, 5 airplanes, and 10 police cars all at once. You could attack anything in the city and destroy it, and the move arsenal you have is really good. You'll be addicted within 5 minutes.

The best overall game is easily Oblivion. I won't even explain why, we should already know.

Army men: Air attack 2. It had four cool helicopters: King Cobra, Chinook, Osprey, Apache. You get to be in the helicopters and demolish the opposition. The weapons are awesome, the controls are realistic, truly a great game.

After that I would Gran Tourismo 5. Graphics are good, handling is realistic, but it is lacking complexity and multiple levels.

Smashing Drive. It's a racing game, you're supposed to hit things, and it has good music.

It'd have to go by genre:
RPG: FF7

Sure, but fallout is also an rpg.

FPS: Call of Duty series

COD is a joke.

Action Adventure: Fallout 3

Just Cause 2

This.

For RPG: Bascially any of TES Series.

FPS: Halo Series.

RTS: Either Battle for Middle Earth, or Rise of Nations.

Currently, my favorite game in the near present, is Journey on the PSN.

All time favorte? FF7.

RTS: Red alert and CnC series, that still goes heavy in my heart.

Puzzle: Myst series, by far.

Graphics only: Crysis. The story was pretty standard.

Story only: Halo series. The gameplay was average.

Mario Kart 64. Back in the day, having 4 mates round to race was pretty epic, 'specially being evil in some of the levels (banana skins on ramps, shrinking on ramps etc). Just amazing.

Persona Series FTW. Their music is incredible and to top it all off, its a Japenese RPG. Shin Megami is just great. I still play some of the classics that arent even translated.

Favourite games of all time:
1) Metal Gear Solid (PSX)
This game was the first time I felt completely enthralled in a games plot. Such memorable characters... Vulcan Raven, Psycho Mantis... When he broke the forth wall... whoa. It's gameplay was great, it looked great (for the time) and it had replay value in the form of multiple endings. Just a great game...

2) Diablo 2 (PC)
Here is where my teenage years were spent. Running the same 5 levels over and over again. Addictive gameplay with seemingly infinite replayability in the form of random dungeons, ever increasing difficulty and such awesome items.

3) Resident Evil (PSX)
This is THE game that gave me nightmares (apparently). Cheesy dialogue, terrifying atmosphere, great, great, great.

4) GTA: Vice City (PS2)
Whoa. Just whoa. The first 'true sandbox' game I ever played extensively (I know GTA3 game out first, but it was just a prelude to this imho) and boy did I play it extensively. This is the first game I ever went 100% on. I had the t-shirt that said "I got 100% in Vice City and all I got was this T-Shirt" even though I actually got a army helicopter in my front yard... (I think... I know I was really powerful by that stage)
Spent many weekends with my mates seeing how long we could last with 5 stars.

Notable series/games:
Metal Gear (loved all the games)
Resident Evil (loved all the games)
GTA (From the old birds eye view originals to GTA4, great, great game)
God of War (Kratos is the best video game character ever. Such a bad arse)
Left 4 Dead (Zombies, zombies... EVERYWHERE! ARGH THEY'RE BITING ME!!!)
World of Warcraft (So massive... So, so massive)
Counter-strike (Spent a lot of time playing this post-Diablo 2)
Team Fortress Classic/2 (So much fun. I'm a great Spy. Stabby McStabbington is my name. Destroying your turret is my game)
Legend of Zelda (Masterful series)
Red Dead Redemption (Was a great, great game. Then I played with zombies and it was better)
Manhunt (This was so controversial I had to mention it)
Tekken (Best fighting game ever. No questions.)
Tetris (Needed to be mentioned)
Pokemon Blue/Red (Childhood encapsulated)
Goldeneye/Perfect Dark (The FPS revolution)
Doom 1/2 (Tricks and Traps? Brilliant level design for such an old school game)
Batman: Arkham Asylum/City (I'm really Batman. No, I am really, really Batman)

Currently playing: Skyrim and Battlefield 3.

I'm sure I'm forgetting some games, but meh.

Oh and Cut the Rope is my favourite iPhone game. I've finished both the original and experiments with 3 stars on every level. Bring on more levels!
