What is the name of that song?!?!

I'm trying to find this old song, but I don't know the name of the song, the artist, or very many of the lyrics.
It's a female singer, sounds vocally like Dido or Enya, mixed with something like Ace of Base.
Most of the lyrics I can remember are the girl singing:

Thanks for trying to help me; unfortunately this is definitely not the song. The one I'm thinking of is from, say, around the early to mid- 90s. It's stuck in my head. And I don't know why.
