I sunburn lightly, then get a good tan. If I sunburn bad I'm unlikely to get a good tan.

6/2/2009 6:39:53 PM Posted: 3 years ago I have pale-ish skin otherwise but I tan naturally (my exposed skin is tan). I don't really burn except perhaps on the shoulders.

6/3/2009 2:28:23 AM Posted: 3 years ago Panda! You're back! What happened there then?
With regards to tans, my advice is to build up gently. I used to live in the Middle East where the summer temperatures regularly exceeded 40 degrees C and there was no rain for months but I never once used sun block. However, because I resisted the temptation to spend hours lying by the pool every day, I never got burned and gradually got tanned instead, so that after a couple of months I was darker than most of the locals! Of course, in Britain, we only get a week or so of sunny weather every year so this is not really an issue here. Visit the burglars' bulletin board: http://www.break-in-news.com... |

6/3/2009 6:45:24 AM Posted: 3 years ago I dwell in the basement. Thus, I can tan, burn, or both, but avoid all of the above. The last tan-burn set I had was somewhere from 8-11 years ago.

6/3/2009 6:49:04 AM Posted: 3 years ago I had a nice tan last time I was down in Costa Rica. I don't seem to burn easily, despite my pale skin.

Eventually it will, but it takes longer than expected. Plus going outside in the mid stages sucks because you look like a hobo. |
