I'm talking about running here. I've heard it's good and bad to do it the night before a race. Me and a couple of my teammates started talking about this on a long run and probably discussed whether it was good or bad to have sex the night before a race for about an hour. From the limited research I've done, I've found that it is bad for men, but good for women. I'd like your opinions and if you know of the runners world article about, I know I read it a few years ago and didn't really understand it and would like to know what it says now that I sort of get it.

Me - I had a MySpace girlfriend, but it was really a 45 year old guy friend.

Even if it's bad, it doesn't matter unless winning the race will get you more sex than it's costing you :).

I heard it's bad. I know, for instance, that sex is prohibited before football games by coaches in every team in the NFL.

Besides, you probably won't have to worry about it. =)

From what I've heard, it hurts future physical performance but helps future concentration. I suppose if both are necessary, I'd err on the side of abstaining.

I can see it coming.

It would be a bad warmup, wastes too much energy.

Listen to those who have experience! Do not have sex before a workout!

Well it doesn't apply to me, obviously, I'm Irish. But to the general world populace, yes.

Get oral. Stimulation without high energy expenditures :).
