12/29/2012 9:35:50 PM Posted: 4 months ago Queen. Just... Queen.
For this, let's go with the album version of Bohemian Rhapsody, along with the 1986 live version of Bohemian Rhapsody in Budapest. |

1/9/2013 9:34:56 PM Posted: 4 months ago Picked up this vinyl for $.50 today. It's typically $30...just one of those fluke finds. Haven't listened to Endtroducing... for quite a while, but it's a great album and probably DJ Shadow's best.
Also got Sketches of Spain, Dreamboat Annie and Hey Jude for $.50 each. It was a banner record finding day. |

1/14/2013 7:06:12 PM Posted: 4 months ago I didn't really get too much into the whole German Hardcore movement lead by Atari Teenage Riot, but I really liked this EP (Elias was in ATR...she's also strangely sexy for being as unattractive as she is.)

I don't want to like Journey either, but they couldn't stop pumping out awesome make-out songs for an entire decade, so Journey it is...as well as the world's greatest entertainer - JT. He's not the King of Pop. He's not the King of Comedy. He's the King of it All. (seriously...what has this kid EVER done poorly in his life. I found him more endearing when he started crying on Punk'd. I'm not always gay, but when I am, I prefer JT...or something like that.) |

What have you, or anyone else, done that even comes close to that, huh? (I was tempted to go with Jordan Knight's Give it to You, because that is one seriously great dance track that got largely ignored because of Knight's former NKOTB membership, but in the interest of not unleashing the ire of the group, I tossed out a little Timbaland, Slick Rick and Aailayah doin' Marvin Gaye, which I usually wouldn't recommend, but they do it up right here...) |

1/28/2013 6:03:23 AM Posted: 3 months ago ^^I feel like that song would have been a lot better without Byrne.
This is one of those cover songs that are nothing like the original, but Devo kinda had to cover this song...they were all students at Kent State when the four were shot dead at Kent State University in Ohio. CSY&N were singing about the death of the movement that lined their pockets with cash. Devo was singing about the death of their friends. |

1/28/2013 10:44:51 PM Posted: 3 months ago One of my favorite deeply obscure pieces of classical music. The composer, Antonio Jose, was executed at the age of 34 by firing squad in his native Spain. Most of his music was largely forgotten until the 1980s and he is still relatively unknown, unfortunately.
