To USA! Yay!

We're thinking about the middle of next year going to you guys' neck of the woods for a month. As I've recently read On the Road by Jack Kerouac, I suggested we fly to LA and hire a car and do the cross-country road trip to New York. Then perhaps up to Canada if time permits. My girlfriend isn't too keen on the road trip idea. :(

Seeing as yous, liek, live there and stuff, are there any landmarks, tours, sites, etc. you guys would suggest we take the time to check out when we head over?

That depends on how long you intend for your trip to be. For instance, if you were to stop in Las Vegas, how long would you be willing to stay?

It also depends on what type of trip you are trying to have. Are you thinking of doing a lot of site seeing, are you looking for sin and vice, or a mixture of the two (and leaning which way)?

Yeah these are things we'll hafta discuss in the next few months. I think Las Vegas would be our first stop out of LA because it seems close. I would wanna stay in LA for a few nights, then Vegas a few, and so on till we get to New York, where we'd stay a few nights. That's how I see it panning out. We'll both have a month off work so I'd say we'll be there at least 3 and half weeks.

Pretty exciting stuff. :D

If by sin and vice you mean drinking booze and gambling, then I think a bit of both, not leaning way way or the other.

Yellowstone National Park.
Washington D.C. is great. Lots of history and the museums are all free.
Las Vegas, of course.
In L.A., check out the Sunset Strip if you are into Rock music.

Thanks man! They're all on the list.

The Grand Canyon is a usual site seeing favorite.

It really depends on your route as well. For instance, the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone aren't both a good idea for an L.A. to NYC trip. One or the other, depending on your route.

I'm posting too much now. Oops.

You might consider telling us some of your interests. That might help some people here come up with places to visit that relate to your interests.
