I would ask why you pick presidents, like LBJ, FDR, and Obama, who expanded the state and permanently hurt our nation, but we have been other that before.

I have noticed that a lot of libs put Eisenhower on their best presidents list. Why?

WTF! Harding doesn't get on the list he died in office! He also ordered a naval reduction treaty with the naval superpowers of the world. The extra ships may have helped us in WW2. Grover Cleveland left very unpopular in fact some saw him as a Wall Street puppet in his second term and in the first he virtually vetoed everything! William Taft got rid of most of T.R.'s policies! Taft also occasionally slept while in meeting or at his office.

Harding cut taxes and spending. Grover Cleveland also believed in limited government and fought for that.

As for Taft, repealing TR's policies is a good thing. And, Reagan slept in meeting sometimes too, and he was still one of our greatest presidents.

Eisenhower was a true moderate, not a conservative. He also handled the Cold War in a way that never put our national security in danger, unlike JFK and the missile crisis. He is also responsible for the appointment of the Great American Hero, Earl Warren. So, he deserves to be on that list.

Eisenhower got us through a world war; he was a soldier, an athlete, and an academic.

My only gripe with Eisenhower is that the Bay of Pigs, which is really people's strongest criticism against JFK, was really his fault. However, when one considers the man's successes in organizing coups and assassinations, it's hard to place any blame at all.

In any case, we see where Nixon learned it.

Isn't that Grover Cleveland in your avie? Perhaps I'm mistaken. :\

Well, anyway, Grover Cleveland was a self-taught attorney that was so dedicated to his family, he hired someone to replace him and take care of them while he was at war. He was so charismatic, he served as a movie star while in office. He was perhaps the most proactive president that exercised the most of his power, vetoing more than any president and lobbying for reduced central power; so gangster in fact, he had a surgery on his face on a boat in the middle of nowhere to prevent worrying our society during an economic crisis.

Man.

We need some more old school presidents. Obama, he reminds me of such people, though. People will talk about him similarly, from dancing on the Ellen Show to improving American Healthcare.

And actually pulling off the Bin Laden and Gaddafi coup--no BoP.

Any president can cut taxes and spending, some just choose not to. Those that mean Harding is anywhere good and played a significant role in our nation: no. As Cleveland believed in a limited government at a time when the government should have been growing. This was a time when the people saw that the government slow with changes in the world. Particularly unpopular was Cleveland's veto to pensions for Civil War veterans. T.R. fought for workers rights and made the Panama Canal as well as his great big stick diplomacy. Also, because of Taft's loss of policies, T.R. has to run in 1912.

There are times when the government should grow, we don't want a very small government like in the Articles of Confederation. At least men like FDR and Abe fought to protect and preserve the nation. Ike constructed the interstate which dramatically made the nation wealthier quicker. Then we have Nixon who significantly made an arms reduction agreement with Russia and ended the Vietnam War. James Polk, one of the most successive of presidents expanded our nation.

Alright, so it has more to do with his foreign policy for you?

You mean, the whole other 50% of politics?

Lol, no, his administration had some pretty good domestic policy as well, but considering the Great Depression and the fact that the existential enlightenment was still in its parochial stages, it's more fair to consider his foreign policy achievements.

No, there is no time government should grow. In all cases, more state intervention in the economy makes things worse for everyone.

And, ROFL. I beat Royalpaladin 41-14. 41-14. And, that "conservative colation" that voted on that debate had plently of liberals. And, it is not as if there are a lot people on DDO that share my views on race.

In fact, if me and Royal had had equal arguments, she would've won, because this site is biased toward political correctness on race.

The reason I beat Royal was that I am MUCH smarter than Royal and reality was on my side, overwhelmingly. Because of these things, I won despite a bias against me on this topic. That is all there is to it.

He dropped multiple arguments and never had a response to gene expression during the most critical periods of development (his claim was that genes are expressed more strongly with age.)

He is avoiding the debate with you.

Okay, I admit that I lost. I honestly have no idea what I am talking about. I am dumber than shiit, and that is clear to anyone who has seen any of our arguments. Jimtimmy beat me fair and square. I'm just pissed that I am so much more ignorant and unintelligent than a 17 year old ancap.

Ah, don't you love the sound of liberals agreeing with each other, and thinking they are so smart all the while? Keeping patting each others backs, just keep it up.

The funniest part is that Royal and 000ike are the two dumbest libs here. Especially Royal.

When Royal came to DDO, the average IQ here dropped about substantially.

Ok, jimmy I will say one thing, is that you only discredit yourself when you call someone stupid, with little reasoning behind it.

You may be right, but don't discredit yourself by outright saying it, without any facts to back it up.

I would suggest tearing apart her arguments instead. Its more classy that way.

Okay, normally I would agree with you. But, I don't think you understand the situation.

000ike and Royal have called me a racist on every thread I have started (this is literally the first one that they haven't, and that will change soon). They have made baseless claims about me being hateful and such.

Now, Royal, is stupid to an extent that you wouldn't believe. One time I said slavery was worse than segregation. And, Royal went around saying that I said segregation was good. I said african americans had a lower average IQ than whites. She went around saying that I said all african americans were retarded.

I said I supported a free market where the state does not intervene in favor of certain races. She went around saying that I was a neo nazi who thought whites should dominate society.

She is both a liar and a retard. And, given all of the retarded BS I have to deal with with these two, I have every right to point out how stupid she is.

You think he has the ability to tear arguments apart? He's no Danielle. I've argued with him on the issue before, and Jimtimmy doesn't know the first thing about biology, evolution, or genetics. You'll also notice that the argumentative backbone of his position are studies, and he cannot answer any questions that get to the core of his position.

As you'll note, just as I predicted in my last comment, I was just called a racist again by 000ike.

Oberherr, you may sympathize with Jimtimmy, but even you can't concoct a defense for the above lie.
