Reason's a Christian theist, and the list seems pretty skewed towards atheism.

Trying to not sound like an arse, I realised this, then I went to sleep: it was almost one where I was, and I couldn't be bothered at all. Also, if any better theists turned up, then they could easily take part, if they wish. Lowering the ability of a side goes against the ethos that the debate was originally set out in.

S_H, are you also picking judges?

If you want to take part and act as a judge in all the debates, feel free to and it'd be a good addition. Better than leaving it to the voting system of the general crowd, seeing as that ends up with even worse debates in general.

I'm willing to judge.

I'm not willing to team with Fool.

Just started reading this again, and thanks for the praise Fool on the hill. But, like I'm sure PCP will say, each individual has many different interests which they choose to cultivate to the interest's end. No one person is an expert in everything against another person.

I would enjoy PCP's company in the foxhole, just like I would SS Medic, Stubs & SD.

Now that we're past the pissing contest are we working this to where each team will have an offense & defense?

Anyone up for this? Simply put, a large debate between the atheists and Christians of the site on different topics. In essence, the debates being any part of Chrisitanity vs Atheism on common contentions (e.g. Problem of Evil, Kalam, Cosmological Argument, Religion's impact on the world), between each "team". The teams, being 5 each, would have a series of debates between the best debaters of each side. The arguments can be done either by a single user or the full team, or any combination of them.

This'll be very enjoyable to read and do, simply because it means the debates will be of a great quality.

Any takers, or any ideas for improvement?

I love debating and I am a lover of the truth. But the problem with a lot of debates is that we live in an age where people will only believe what is convenient to them. It's natural that people will often have there own bias, but when it comes to the big questions--how did we get here and is there life beyond the grave--we need to honesty open our minds and seek the truth. And although the truth can hurt, it's the truth that is going to set us free. But unfortunately, it's often the case that people will resort to telling lies if the truth makes them uncomfortable. If a person is only interested in scoring points, such a person isn't worth debating. The truth is what matters, and that's what we should be seeking.

for tl;dr: debates are meaningless: if you disagree, it's because you're bias.

I don't like these rants because it's like the argument of "this is not important", but if debates did convince people then instead you'd be shouting the success from the rooftops.

Fool, let's work on this mmkay?

"KRFournier is the WORST faith voter"

If you have reason for saying this I'd like to know it... so far I've seen him to vote pretty fair. He even voted against me on occasion.

But if not him, who would you recommend?

I'd say he ties with PCP

Seriously? I've debated both of them twice, and in my judgement, they are miles apart.

This isn't anything against Reason. He's a decent debater for sure. PCP's just on a whole different level from almost everyone here (including myself). His last round of our ANB debate was the best single round I've seen on here. Him and Grape were definitely the hardest challenges for me anyway, but with some of the stuff on the forums/debates, I'm beginning to think either I'm going crazy, or everyone else is.

The Fool: What was the ANB? I am mostly on forum debates. What things are crazy?

If a good theist debater wants to replace me I'm perfectly ok with that. I only signed up because they needed theists, and I figured a warm body is better than nobody.
