Say Confucious instead of Kung Fuzi. We're not Chinese.
Anyway, they're much more different than alike. Confucious developed an elaborate moral code which was to be the basis of government and life in general for East Asia from until the time Confucious lived and is still going on today. Plato was more of a philosopher, a very important philosopher at that -- the founder of Western Philosophy. Confucious changed lives, while Plato taught - and his words have been quite important. I'd say Confucious has had a much bigger impact on the world. Though, if it weren't for Plato - maybe not Socrates, and if no Socrates - maybe no Aristotle, and if no Aristotle - maybe no Alexander the Great. They're both quite important.
"I contend we are both atheists, I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours."
