This is why I think this sport is horribly dangerous. Cleats are a terrible, terrible idea.
But we try to pretend, you see, that the external world exists altogether independently of us.

Everything is dangerous.

These athletes get paid well enough to take this minimal risk, and there is an inherent risk with everything. Also breaking a leg in that fashion is so incredibly rare... You have a greater chance of getting hit by a car while crossing the street.

Do you think roads are a bad idea also?

Philitas, a Greek intellectual of Cos, studied arguments and erroneous word usage so intensely that he died of starvation and waist. Conclusion: We should not study arguments and erroneous word usage.
