Obama's tax plan is idiotic.
I want to especially single out Obama's plan to raise the corporate tax from, which by the way, he hasnt said by how much....go figure. Right now the corporate tax rate in the United States is 35%, the second largest in the world (Japan is #1). Obama wants to raise this corporate tax rate. Do you know why we have unemployment? Global warming is nothing more than a natural warming cycle, and not is due to CO2 emissions.
It would seem that the consensus among academic institutions worldwide would be enough to persuade most people that global warming is real, that it is a problem, and that it is a direct result of human-produced carbon emissions into the Earth's atmosphere, but many are still not convinced. The skeptical argument seems to be that the Earth is so vast that mankind could never be any real threat to it, and / or all of the evidence presented by the world's most prominent scientific minds only points...
The war in Afghanistan was justified.
I am not sure if I support this position, but I would like to debate it anyway. After 9/11, it was obvious that the Taliban regime in Afghanistan was a threat to our national security and it did not look like they would sit around and negotiate with us. The Taliban also worsened the life of Afghanistan's citizens, so it was also a moral thing to do. The war in Afghanistan was justified and it would have been dangerous and wrong not to invade....
Neutrality unless attacked is best for a country.
I am not sure if I believe in this, but I am interested in debating it. It is best for a country not to start wars or create alliances unless they are attacked. It is unnecessary for countries to get stuck in wars that they do not need to be in. When it comes down to the well-being of a country neutrality is the best way to go....
