The United States is too involved in Middle Eastern affairs

I believe that the United States is both today and in the past, too involved in middle eastern affairs and issues. Middle East = Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Oman, Israel, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Turkey, Lebanon, Qatar, Kuwait The Con must simply show that the US is not very involved in Middle eastern affairs. Con may use the first round for arguments or just acceptance....
Wikipedia is a good source of information

I hear it all the time on here and so do most of you, someone makes a reference to a Wikipedia article in a debate, the other side instantly claims that it is not a reliable source for information, but never actually explains why.... I have looked through many Wikipedia articles over the years and all of them are neutral over controversial issues, straightforward in anything relating to math, gives reasonably accurate statistics about past wars, and gives both sides of the story on historical...
Homosexuals should be given the same rights as heterosexuals.
I will be affirming the topic: Homosexuals should be given the same rights as heterosexuals. To support the affirmation, I will support two basic contentions. 1. There is good reason to give equal rights to homosexuals 2. There is no good reason to deprive equal rights from homosexuals Contention 1: Good Reason for Equal Rights Sub Point A: Homosexuals are no less human than a heterosexual. To deprive rights from any living creature emphasizes their subhuman position in society. For...

Drug Legalization

I propose that we debate drug legalization. The first round is just for acceptance of the challange, and its definintions.
Drugs: A chemical substance, such as a narcotic or hallucinogen, that affects the central nervous system, causing changes in behavior and often addiction [1].

The Bible contains historical inaccuracies
Since I was unable to post in the last round of our debate, we will be doing this again. We will copy and paste our round 2 arguments so that we can get back to the same round 3 where the last debate ended. That other debate is listed here. http://www.debate.org/debates/The-bible-contains-historic-inaccuracies/1/...
