Middle School Chorus is harder than Middle School Band because according to most middle school chorus teachers must teach their student musical theory, history, vocal technique, vocal production, choral technique, expressiveness, dynamics, tempo, musical terms, performance, musical literacy, rhythm, pitch, melody, harmony, score study, and analysis. In middle school, the band course is more challenging than the chorus course.
I think that band is harder than chorus because it takes years and years to master an instrument whereas to master the skill of singing it only takes six months to a year. Also, you have to work VERY VERY hard to achieve your full potential in band. You have to practice for at least half an hour EVERY day to achieve your goals.
