(Christians only) If Judas was simply following God's will for Jesus to die for humanity's sake, is it right for us to demonize him?

Asked by: Donderpants
  • I do not believe we should make fun of Judas.

It would be wrong to make fun of him, but Jesus was clear when he said "Have I not chosen you 12 and one of you is a devil" and "Woe to the man who betrays the Son of Man! For it would have been better if he had never been born." So as we can see he was one if not the ultimate Traitor to God, but we should never make fun of or ridicule him.

  • Yes we should

Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes and yes

  • Logically speaking, no we should not.

To forgive his cold blooded killing would be unjust, but really, if the being we worship commanded him to do it, isn't it unfair to blame him? He did according to lore regret almost immediately, throwing away his payment for the dirty deed and condemning his own act. If it's God's will, he saw the error of his way, and Jesus and many martyrs to follow always showed forgiveness even in the face of death, how is it fair of us to demonize him?
