  • Yes, it created waste.

The Project West Ford may have seemed like a good idea to Americans in 1961, but they unwittingly created a ring of garbage around the planet; this might never be "cleaned up", and may have many consequences in the future. The knowledge of environmental and orbital waste was practically nonexistent 55 years ago. It cannot be changed, but it was certainly a creator of unnecessary litter.

  • Project West Ford was probably a bit unnecessary.

Project West Ford probably did not need to happen considering that it caused a lot of space debris to be paced up in orbit. While it may have been an interesting experiment to conduct, it caused uite a bit o debris hat is still hanging around in space today. What really made the project a waste, however, was the fact that other better technology had been developed during its time.

  • No, i disagree.

I strongly disagree with this. Any time that humans have the opportunity to explore space, they should do it. They should not worry about space junk. The universe is constantly expanding. They should not worry about where to put all of the space waste because the universe is so big. Until there is a lot more of it, it's not a problem.
