2009 US economic stimulus: Does the stimulus contain little or substantial "pork"?

  • No responses have been submitted.
  • No, the stimuls was full of pork.

No, the stimulus does not contain little pork, because it actually was mostly pork. The government's way of stimulating the economy was by giving money to the pet projects of the friends of politicians. There was little oversight as to whether this would stimulate the economy. It was a terrible piece of legislation all the way around.

  • No, it does not contain pork as they are stimulus projects.

No, there is no pork contained within the bill. While these projects would likely be considered pork in other contexts, in this particular measure their purpose was to stimulate the economy and to distribute funds to the appropriate parties to cause economic growth and reinvigorate in the country and create jobs.
