Yes, I believe that the D-Day invasion in 1944 was successful because the invasion helped allow the Allies get a foothold on German occupied territories and contributed to the gradual defeat of Axis forces. The D-day mission was also successful because the Allied forces were comprised of different countries all united in one effort against Hitler led Germany.
It is obvious that the Invasion of Normandy was a successful battle and allowed for the allied forces to gain a foothold in Europe to later go on and defeat Hitler and his armies a year later. This mission required unbelievable courage and became an inspiration to all allied forces to continue on and honor the sacrifices of their fallen brothers proving that freedom is never truly free.
Yes, the D-Day mission was a success. The seaborne invasion of the Western allies in Normandy on June 6, 1944 initiated the effort of the West to liberate Europe from the Nazis. There were other invasions before and after this one which also contributed to the end of World War II. This day is significant for the sheer amount of soldiers and ships accomplishing so much in so little time.
Yes i do believe that the D-Day invasion of Normandy beach was a successful mission in the ware despite the amount if deaths suffered. All battle whether won or lost ultimately will lead to the outcome of the conflict. Since the United States did win the war it makes all battles a success in my opinion.
