A staffer for Governor Christie claims he lied about his role in closing the George Washington Bridge. Should Christie be impeached?

  • Christie should be impeached

Christie should be punished or impeached for this although I am not against Chris Christie in general. People in ambulances could have been waiting on that bridge to get life-saving help. There could have been many things to go severely wrong with closing of the bridge, and doing so for an egotistical reason should get the governor impeached.

  • Yes, Christie should be impeached.

Many believe that New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has not been fully transparent when it comes to his knowledge and possible role in the closing of the George Washington Bridge. Christine staffers have claimed that the governor lied about his role in the bridge closings. Therefore, the citizens of New Jersey have a right to demand the truth in this case. If charges are warranted, then yes, Governor Christie should be impeached.

  • No, Governor Christie should not be impeached for his role in the closing of the George Washington Bridge unless there was some criminal action on his part

No, Governor Christie should not be impeached for his role in the closing of the George Washington Bridge unless there was some criminal action on his part. I do not believe that simply telling a lie should be illegal. Governor Christie should not have lied, however, a lie in this instance does not hurt anyone.

  • Bridgegate still has a lot of unanswered questions

The prevailing theory that lane closures on the George Washington Bridge were retaliation against Mayor Mark Sokolich for not endorsing Governor Chris Christie is still unproven. There have been three indictments for conspiring to commit fraud, but the investigation is largely political and there are other possible motives for the lane closures.
