Since 1776 to present day, America has been involved in war at least 70% of its existence. This is something I just learned and I didn't expect this. I knew that America has been war-happy for a long time but I would have never guessed that this country, or any country could be so involved in the world for such a large portion of its existence. How is isolationism still a bad word in politics? You would think that the masses would be tired of sending their young people overseas to die.
America's excuses to joining wars are that they are fighting for the other countries peace or that they are protecting their own, this simply isn't true. Now I am British so can see the full extent of damage that America does to world peace. It is not right for any country to place fear on others to do what they want them to do. America wants the middle eastern countries to have the same political system as them and want them to change laws to suit them, they shouldn't do that if Afghanistan invaded the US and demanded they change their systems they would probably burn them in the streets. America intends to strike fear into countries to get them to obey, the only reason the UK got involved in the Afghan war was because Tony Blair was to scared to say no. One day America will get to powerful and power hungry and people will begin fighting back.
Since the dawn of the 20th century, the United States has gone on a rampage. Destroying anybody who doesn't accept our imperial business. We kill leaders, and fund death squads in order to protect our corporate interests. We will even start wars in order to protect upper class interests. Famous examples include, the Korean War (We set up a puppet state in the south. One that was run by tyrants for the first few years), Vietnam (we set up a puppet government in the South, but the dictator was so bad that the regime fell), Guatemala (we funded military coup that killed the country's first democratically elected leader. We did this to protect United Fruit's feudal control over the masses), El Salvador (We gave arms and funded the Revolutionary Junta that killed thousands via death squad), Chile (9/11/1976, we backed a coup that put Augusto Pinochet in power), Indonesia (We funded and armed Suharto, a leader that purged all opposition), Cuba (We supported Fulgencio Batista, invaded the island, and tried to kill Fidel Castro 638 times), Iran (We supported the Shah of Iran because he was anti communist, and traded oil with us), Cambodia (we illegally bombed the country during the Vietnam War and supported the Khmer Rouge), Iraq (We completely destroyed the country and allowed groups like ISIS to rise up), and finally Afghanistan (we supported and armed the group that would become the Taliban, then we went there and destroyed the country). Not to mention that we have supported Apartheid South Africa, and currently support Apartheid Israel.
If you look at history, we will use our military to economically dominate any country that resists us. We are the biggest threat to peace, and that will remain until the USA is either taken over by the people, or by the countries they have oppressed.
United States of America have always entered every international conflicts and as long as they have an interest in being part of it, they will never stop. United States of America gets involved in wars where the reward is great, like oil, colonies, weapons, financial support, or even in the past, half a country, like they did with Germany. They, for instance never got involved in the Darfour conflict as Africa doesn't have the ressources they are looking for. They didn't move an inch when Tibet got invaded by China and some tribes slaughtered. United States of America is picking its battles and not in the name of "Freedom" as they like to say, but in the name of profit...And sadly for the USA, there's no profit from having world peace .

I'd have to put ISIS as more of a threat to world peace. Sure, America is more than a little trigger happy, but they join wars supposedly on the premises of being the unofficial global police, and they do at least try for neutrality for large bits of their existence, (tried to stay out of both world wars, their current nemesis attacked them many, many times before they started to fight back.)
So is USA a threat for global peace? Yes. Is it the worst one? Probably not.
America fights for freedom and has been but was it because they could earn something out of it no it was to help people and preserve the peace here in America 99.9% America hasn't started these wars but the governments of others countries have or threated to destroy America and everything we stand for such as Saddam Hussein when he threatened to nuke the US and the UK and made the entire world think he had nuclear weapons and the American government knew he could have and would have killed every last American if he could, cause he wasn't afraid to kill his own people so I am sure he wouldn't have a problem killing someone else's that's why he was taken out. So no America is not the biggest threat to peace but the biggest contributor of peace throughout the world.
America largely favors economic domination. The biggest threat to world peace is actually anyone favoring expansionism right now. Given America's proclivities, what with giving up sovereign territory, I don't think that's about to happen anytime soon. Now, if you will excuse me, I have some plausibly deniable private military contractors to deal with.
America may have been in a lot of wars. But there are countries who start wars so they can benefit from it. Or some countries who start wars and leave it for everyone else to end it. Yes some of the wars America where in were pointless, but at least we tend to fix the destruction we make. Like when we rebuilt most of European countries like Germany, France and most other European countries after both of the World Wars. We even rebuilt Japan after the brutal and unnecessary use of the nukes in WW2
Just because the U.S. is involved in war so much doesn't mean that they're the biggest threat to world peace. Do they fight unjustified wars? Yes. But so do many other nations. Also, many American organizations like unicef and redcross try to improve the conditions of less fortunate people in the world, which is very peaceful.
