  • It benefits us and puts us through less pain.

Animal testing is harmful and dangerous to animals. Sometimes is puts them through huge pain and can lead to death. However, it is done for a reason. Scientists don’t just inject potentially dangerous substances into animals for fun. They do it to protect humans from having to go through that pain. It also helps scientists learn about which ingredients are harmful and which aren’t. Even though it is painful for animals to get tested on, I think it should be allowed. I think this because, if we didn’t, then there would be a huge increase of deaths in humans. However, I think that there should be limitations to what gets tested and restrictions to how the animals get tested.

  • It would help us.

If we didn't have animal testing, we would result in using the unknown effects of drugs on humans. Animals are on Earth for many purposes. But the majority of humans don't complain about eating them? It's okay for us to eat animals even when there are other solutions, but not okay for us to test animals for the humans benefit of health. When animals are tested, they are usually sedated taking away the pain.

  • They were put here for it

Religiously, God put the animals we use everyday on this earth for just that. Many epidemics have been caught because if these God given creatures. The bubonic plague for one has been minimized in the states due to the same creature who brought itand 60% of the time the animal is killed before it has any long to suffer

  • The thalidomide disaster

The thalidomide disaster shows an urgent need for more experimenting on animals, not less. If thalidomide had been properly tested on pregnant animals, its results for causing severe birth defects would have been discovered before the drug became legal for human use. Testing on animals showed that the drug have a side effect of birth defects in mice, rats, hamsters, marmosets, baboons, and the New Zealand white rabbit. Basically, thalidomide is a drug that has not been tested on animals before giving it to humans. Phocomelia is the side effect which is basically deformity. If humans tested on animals first, this kind of tragedy would NOT have happened in history.

  • Yes they should

    It is beneficial.

The use of animals for testing is beneficial to the human race. Since the beginning humans have always been dominant over other animals. The use of animals for testing helps scientists to find cures more quickly and efficiently. Take a moment to consider this situation. Imagine you are a parent whose child has been diagnosed with cancer. Scientists believe they have found a cure, but have been unable to test it because they cannot test on animals. Would you rather an animal die or your child? Animals are here for our benefit.

  • Find a cure?

Animal have been around for us. They provide us food and sometimes warmth. They also are good for testing to find cures for deceases, cancer, and etc bad things. But scientist have their limits. It is basically saying "No one can hunt it is pain for animal." When people say that you shouldn't. Hunting and testing are the same thing it leads to helping human. I say it is better finding a cure for bad then having a fur coat. There are even vegetarians that would be okay with testing on animals just because 1. It doesn't always lead to death. 2. People would rather have an animal die then their own family (baby siblings parents etc.) Take my word for it, it won't end all animals.

  • I think they shouldnt be used for animal testing

The reason why i say this is because their apart of nature and they are GODS animal he didnt put them on this earth to be tested. So we dont need to test them its not right. Its like animal abuse. So we need to stop. Im against animal testing!!

  • Animals Are Hurt

Sure, you may not want humans to be tested, but that is what the product is for. Animals don't know what's going on and are treated cruelly. Some products have different effects on animals than humans, endangering everyone. People can donate themselves to science or the organ that is needed. Helpless animals should not be used for a purpose they weren't apart of in the first place.

  • While many people are in favor of animal testing, scientists shouldn't use animal for testing because animals have rights, it inhumane, mightn't have same genetic.

Some people might believe that using animal testing is good for the human. Obviously, using animal to do test on it is good for the human because it can help the human to find a new drug which is beneficial in modern day. In contrast, there are many people think using animal testing might led to get bad result on the human because some animal gene do not match human gene. For instance, if the scientists do not use the right animal for testing to regenerate organ or enzymes, it will be harmful. It will lead to change the human gene, so we will lead to die. Given these points, scientists should not use animal for testing.

  • No no no

This is totally stupid, animals are not less important than humans. Animals doesn't have to suffer for testing some products for humans. It's not because you don't hear them that they aren't hurt. It is torture. Put you in their skins, would you like that, that your life would be just being use every day for testing and being torture without any compassion for you?

  • Animals should be treated as people.

Animals should not be used for testing. Would you want your mother, father, sister, brother, child, or pet tested on? We would not want any of our loved ones studied in any manner that may harm them. Therefore, we should not put any animal through that type of torture. It is inhumane.

  • No they should not be tested on.

Once an animal is tested on, it will either be killed or injured permanently. Either way it just wont be the same as it first was. Also, 92% of experimental drugs that are safe and effective in animals fail in human clinical trials because they don't work or are dangerous. I'm only 13, and the only reason I know this kind of stuff is because I'm doing a paper about animal testing in my English class. I hope that you're against animal testing too.

  • No to animal testing

Animal testing ruins lives. They should be treated fairly, not be forced to be experimented on. They do not have a choice, and if they did they wouldn't chose to be tested and abused for the health of people that treat them cruelly and unfairly. They have done nothing to you to cause you to do this, if they hurt you they we're probably only protecting themselves. We have no right to treat them this way.

  • No no no

Many times when scientists perform experiments on animals (rabbits, primates, mice, rats, dogs, cats, etc) they are simply performing the tests to continue funding toward the program. A lot of the time, they already know the outcome of an experiment and yet put animals through the pain and suffering of it anyways so that the program will continue to get its income. Sometimes, yes, animal testing can be beneficial. However, most of the time there are distinct differences between human trials and animal trials. The FDA does NOT require animal testing to approve of a drug, so...Why waste the huge expenses and millions of animal lives on a pointless cause? Scientists don't rely on animal data to treat a child who has ingested nail polish remover or the adult that took the wrong medication. Primates tested with Polo showed to conceive it via their olfactory senses while humans contract it orally. Aren't primates supposed to have "99% DNA similar to humans?" Well, we also have 50% DNA similarity to a banana. I don't see any banana-based studies for medication or cosmetics.

  • Animals mustn't be used for animal testing!

Humans and animals have different dnas. It has been proven that over 95%of drugs that claim to pass the animals test, fail when tested on humans. One bit of dna looks much like another but an obvious difference at a larger scale is the number of chromsomes. Humans have 23 pair which is middling kind of number, some animals have more are dogs with 39 pair and shrimp with 43-46 pair

  • Animals Should Not be Used For Testing!

We must remember that animals are living creatures too. Animals have to go through the testing plus being in a cage or plastic boxes for smaller animals. Most animals don't even live after testing. Thy are put to death or euthanized. But also they can die in more painful ways such as being burned, tortured, shocked or starved. Also some more ways are being decapitated (beheaded), being forced to inhale carbon monoxide, and breaking their neck and spine. If we were in the animals place, ow would we feel? Scientists are figuring out ways to use other things for testing besides animals. 206 known companies test their products on animals. Some of these include things that we use everyday. Animals should not be tested on!
