Are artificial Christmas trees better than real ones?

  • The faker the better

They are way better, they last longer, they are more economic, plus they are more friendly to the environment because it saves you from cutting and chopping pines all the years. Plus the real pine trees get damage with the christmas lights and they don't last longer than a month since its leaves start to fall off and to get dry.

  • They are litty

They can easily be used over and over again and again but not just that they are better because of the fact that the trees are not gonna be cut down because on average 33-36 million Christmas trees are cut down every year even though they are replanted this is bad for the environment real trees are bad for the environment because they take gas to get to every year and all that gas adds up on average of 20 miles traveled per person to get a real christmas tree is very bad we are wasting our oil and polluting the air so even though artificial trees have pros and cons real trees have worse cons and only a couple good pros

  • We need Oxygen

I agree that the artificial trees are easier to put up and to take down but as we all probably know, we need oxygen to survive. Getting an artificial tree can affect the environment. Also, the materials needed to make an artificial tree can be toxic to humans. Plus the real trees give off a nice pine tree smell.

  • Saves Time and Money

Fake trees can be a little bit expensive, but they can last for years. They're very easy to put up and take down. They don't need to be watered or taken care of, they're much easier to use in total. If your a busy person, don't waste all of your time taking care of a tree that'll die soon anyway.

  • Go fake go great

If you live in a big city you need to drive to the suburbs for a real tree but if you go fake you go to your local store. Some people say they like real trees because of the scent but a scent can be added to fake trees. And if you have allergies from pine you could not celebrate the very fun christmas tradition

  • I like real

I hate fake because it is the worst tree you could ever get in the whole entire world because real trees bring out christmas spirit and you need to go and buy the real ones every single year.Fake trees mean that you dont really care of spreading joy and a real tree may smell bad but it cost for only 30 to 50 dollars at home depot and fake trees are at least 400 dollars

  • Real trees are better for the environment!

I agree with the pine needle thing but if you want to get into detail, real trees bark can be recycled and made into mulch. So then we won't have to use other things like tar.Artificial trees carry fumes and chemicals from the factory into peoples homes and can cause cancer , etc.

  • Real Trees are better

Real trees create oxygen for us human beings. One tree can produce up to 18 people's worth of oxygen. Also, real trees sustain about 100,000 people, and if we all switched to artificial trees, then those people would be out of a job. Finally, real trees can be recycled to create mulch and fertilizer, while plastic just adds to waste sitting around in landfills.

  • Real trees are the way to go.

Real trees are better because they are better for the emvironment, because whenever you cut down a tree at tree farms they replant the next another tree. Also they are better because they create family memories. For my family we love to go out and get a christmas trees. We have funa and love to do it. Also what happens to the fake christmas trees after they are done? They get put into the land fills and stay there for hundreds and hundreds of years.

So reconcider when you at the store going to buy a fake christmas tree.

  • Fake vs real trees

Fake Christmas trees cause less but real trees have a nice smell and they take work to care for and keep the tree living. Compared to an artificial tree which doesn't take any work at all to keep alive and you don't have care for the tree beacause you don't have to clean up around the tree after Christmas .

  • No, real trees are still more sustainable and beneficial than manufactured trees

Environmentally speaking, real trees are still more sustainable than factory made non-biodegradable trees. As someone who lives in the Pacific Northwest, I've also seen the positive economic impact they have for farmers as well. When they are growing, they have all the positive environmental qualities of any other trees that are growing. When they are cut they are soon replaced with saplings. When people are done with them they are recycled and turned to beneficial mulch. Though they do have to be hauled around (consuming fossil fuels) they don't have to make it across an ocean from China where they were manufactured by slave labor.

  • Not necessarily better

Artificial trees are not necessarily better than real trees. Yes, the artificial variety last virtually forever and will not make a mess, but there is a certain sense of nostalgia with a real tree. Ultimately is a personal preference on the type of tree one prefers, and thus cannot be conclusive that artificial is always better.

  • I don't think they are.

I have always had an artificial tree and really prefer being around other peoples' real Christmas trees. My tree is always squashed and the limbs always poke out at odd angles. Seeing real Christmas trees, as well as smelling their pine needle scent, makes me believe that nothing beats a real Christmas tree. The only real benefit of an artificial tree is that I can keep it up longer than a real tree.
