If the amount of money being spent on beauty products were spent instead on charitable contributions then poverty would be stamped out. I can understand basic skin care needs but like everything that involves money it becomes a marketing gimmick after awhile. The gym is where to find the fountain of youth.
I do not see how beauty products are destroying our society. Sure, some people become reliant on them, others get allergic reactions and whatnot, but our society isn't being destroyed by beauty product sales and use. Beauty products create jobs for people and boost the confidence of some. There will likely be sad minority cases where people have become addicted and had their lives ruined by abusing beauty products, however, I believe there are far worse things that could potentially be destroying our society.
