  • Broken Families, Strange environments.

I believe that students and their families should have the choice of weather or not they would like to attend a boarding school. Beneficially local schools, and home teaching may turn out just as good. My reasoning is by stating that it is beneficial you are almost making boarding schools sound mandatory.

Culturally in australia, taking away indigenous children from their own homeland and placing them in a boarding school will absolutely demolish their whole normal lifestyle.

Economically enforcing a boarding school upon children. The government will then subsidize a large amount of the original price where they could be improving other local schools.

Many say yes, as it is the easy answer if their own child wishes to leave home. But as parents we should feel more obligated to raise our own children the hard way teaching them our traditions, values and morals rather then leaving them to be raised by others their own age. As well as teachers who god knows, how they have been raised.
