If bounce houses are too dangerous then what about plastic forks, hot dogs, and cupcakes? Kids can find ways to hurt themselves with just about anything. This is why children need adult supervision. Most (but not all) activities can be reasonably safe for children with the proper amount of competent adult supervision. I would argue that obsessively sheltering a child from all perceived risk is infinitely more dangerous for the child in the long run than hopping around in a bounce house.
