Although pranks are funny and they are a good way to relax and have a good laugh, they certainly aren't important. There are many actual issues going on in the world that we as a society turn a blind eye to. So enjoy your celebrity pranks, just realize that they are a small part of life.
Celebrities are not even worthy of making the news on their own and their pranks are merely desperate attempts at making the news to keep their names in the limelight. Most celebrity pranks are by washed up people who had their few minutes of fame with very few exceptions to the rule.
No, celebrity pranks should not be an important part of our society. When many societal issues such as hunger, homelessness, random shootings and gun control plague our nation, the focus on celebrities should be minimal. Celebrity pranks are purely for entertainment value, but they can distract the public when they should be focused on advocating for real issues.
There is not a single thing about a single celebrity that is important in the grand scheme of things. No one cares about celebrity pranks, they may provide some laughter, but they don't solve any of the real problems this world faces. Celebrities need to use their public position for the greater good and not many do that in my opinion.
