  • Important for Communication

Mobile phones have become one of the primary methods of communication in society today. Particularly as kids begin driving and doing things socially on their own, phones are important to stay in contact with them. That doesn't mean that teens cannot a do not abuse the privilege of having a phone and misuse them.

  • Necessity, yes; abused, yes

Yes, in today's dangerous world, having a mobile phone seems to be necessary, especially for teens. They need to be able to quickly reach their parents, or the police, if they are in trouble. Of course, we all know how teens abuse the privilege to own a mobile phone: texting until they are blue in the face, playing endless games, etc. Well, that's teens for you. But they do need to have a phone.

  • Mobile phones are a neccessity, period.

Sometimes I wonder where the minds of people are, and this is one question that really makes me wonder. What good comes of depriving anyone, especially a teenager in today's world, of our culture's primary mode of communication? A phone is a necessity, a smart phone especially. Calls, texts, and yes, even Facebook. We live in a networked world, don't try to pretend otherwise.
