Are modern Indian women still the captives of tradition?

  • Yes, they have few rights.

Yes, modern Indian women are still captives of tradition, because they have little opportunity in life and little choice. Indian women often still do not choose who they are going to marry. When Indian women are the victims of crime, their perpetrators may or may not be held accountable. Women are still oppressed in their country.

  • Indian woman are stuck in a backwards tradition

I believe that indian women, as far as I know about their culture, are trapped in a backwards and conservative life of tradition and subjugation. For as bad as women had it in America in the 50s and 60s I believe that Indian women have it even worse. I don't believe in true Indian progress until their women are more free.
