Are movies and television desensitizing Americans to violence and sexuality?

  • I definitely think that violent and sexual movies and television shows are desensitizing Americans to violence and sexuality.

I definitely think that violent and sexual movies and television
shows are desensitizing Americans to violence and sexuality. We see so much of this type of entertainment
that it makes it seem much more normal when we encounter these activities in
real life. I think that videos on the
internet are having the same effect.

  • Movies and television desensitizing Americans to violence and sexuality.

Movies rated R are more popular than ever, and kids can easily see them on TV and or on computers, even if they can't get into a restricted movie theater. Over the past few years, the media has started to show even more graphic sex scenes and violence. Clearly, there is too much of this for children, and it is distorting Americans' sense of decency when they grow up.
