  • Constitutional Rights (for all)

Enlightenment theories mostly fall under a right to an opinion (except Thomas Hobbes' "State of Nature") where a citizen is entitled to their own beliefs. Nobody can control how one thinks, but a government can punish people for how they speak. The Constitutional convention decided on the First Amendment, bringing the US to a freedom of Speech, Religion, Petition, Assembly, and Press- it seems to me that these all connect to a right to Opinion as well. An unwritten rule.
