Are Republicans being fair by withholding hearings on Supreme Court nominations?

  • Yes, I think so.

The law, the Constitution and the American people do not matter to the TP/GOP. They take their orders from whoever writes the checks. Campaign finance is root of the American political problem. The smart collectors are saving Trump banners and buttons. In the not too distant future they will be collector's items. The TP/GOP is standing on the toaster ready to jimp in.

  • I don't feel Republicans are being fair or responsible by withholding hearings on Supreme Court nominations.

I think Republicans are doing a great disservice to this country and its citizens by withholding hearings on the Supreme Court nominations. Their actions are irresponsible and this is clearly a move to prevent certain judges to be appointed. This shows how the Republican party does not care about what is right for the country, only what is best for them.

  • No, Republicans should not withhold hearings on Supreme Court nominations.

No, Republicans are not promoting true, unbiased democracy by withholding hearings on Supreme Court nominations. The hearings themselves are the determining factor in the confirmation of a Supreme Court nomination. Withholding even the hearing process is a power play that undermines our system of government and furthers the unhealthy partisan politics that are already such a problem in the United States.

  • No, Republicans are not being fair or doing their jobs by withholding hearings on Supreme Court nominations

No, Republicans are not being fair by withholding hearings on Supreme Court nominations, nor are they doing their jobs. The Congressional role in nomination hearings is to vet candidates and then to say yes or no on them. If Republicans are pretty sure they don't like a nominee, then hold a hearing and then turn them down. There is no practical reason for withholding hearings. It's just a childish game in order to scare people during a Presidential election and push them to vote Republican.
