They are doing what Nazis did and taking control of peoples private rights (women's reproductive rights). They are forcing their religious values by making laws based on them. They are intolerant of anyone that is NOT white. They spread lies and propaganda just like the Nazis. They are trying to destroy government and take over with privatization and a feudal system of economics. They pledge oaths to unelected politicians (Grover Norquist/a Muslim sympathizer, married to one). They are isolationist. They are taking dictator-type control over cities in states like MI and their rights to elect who they want. Election Rigging and they are very scary. They want to destroy education and want to rid the country of the elderly and poor and non-white people.
They don't listen to what anyone has to say. It is their way or the highway. They believe it is fine to disrespect the President and office of the Presidency. They feel that the old way is the glory way. They long to go back to a time where women were subservient and stayed home and had babies. They act as though they are the only game in town. They are bigoted, hypocrites that want you to do as they say not as they do. They would love to turn the world back to the 1950's where the women wore pearls and only said perky things. And Father only knew best. They have done nothing positive for anyone but themselves since they have been in power. We can only hope they go the way of the dinosaur.
Yes, the Republican party openly suggests a one-party rule over xenophobic masses and a charismatic dictator similar to Hitler. The Republican Party would have to completely scrap the Constitution for that, which is extremely likely, as they clearly hate the Constitution. Happy sarcasm day everybody! Good job everyone above me!
The aim to make and support a ruling class and suppress and starve the rest whilst telling them it is good for them. Make wars and spend taxes on everything but the country itself. Outsource jobs because that is good for Americans. Fight healthcare because profits for insurance companies is better than the health of a nation. It's extermination on a global scale. Hitler would be proud. Republican = anti-American.
Fascism of any shade has certain common core characteristics:
2. Sexism and Misogyny
3. Strong mixture of state and religion
5. Protection of the cooperate class
6. Disregard of Human rights when deemed necessary
7. Fraudulent elections through use of powerful monied interests, gerrymandering, and voting suppression and intimation
Socialism (Dem) or Fascism (Rep). Pick one... In the end it really doesn't matter which poison you choose. There is a remote chance of Sanders bringing real change for the populous, but I thought that about Obama too. We need a new party "of the people, for the people, by the people".
Republicans full fill the chriteria
1. They are statists to the core just watch how fox news deals with police brutality even when it is blatantly obvious that they are wrong.
2.They are nationalists but not just any brand of nationalist , they also want to brand and remove anyone who does not fit there description of an American, Muslims and Mexicans moreover Bill O'Rielly Donald trump ,Ted Cruz ,Carli Fiorina , Ann Coulter subscribe to this Idea more over they cannot shut up about the black family as if there isn't millions of them with each family having it's unique dynamics.
3. They are a free market party which is the same as facism however unlike free market capitalism in democracy, the republicans seem to want to stifle civil liberties and freedom of thought religion and expression which are the core tenants of a free Democracy.
Republicans support prolonged warfare, expansion of state surveillance, arresting people for using drugs, stopping immigrants, and other nasty, oppressive actions. They are about as close to fascism as you get in this country. They are for everything that increases the power of a select few and oppressing the many of the world.
Aside from their historical support of European Fascism during the 1930s, always comparing what Messrs. Hitler and Mussolini were doing favorably against the "socialist" policies of FDR, the modern Republican Party is so skewed to the right that the label" "conservative" can no longer possibly apply. You can't be an extremist and a conservative at the same time. Scapegoating of a Black president who is regarded as un-American because of mildly liberal policies and continually blaming a nonexistent liberal media for what's wrong with the nation brings to mind the propaganda positions of Goebbels, simply by replacing the word "liberal" with the word "Jew"..
The democrats are right of center, the republicans have move much, much further to the right. They are not the party of Ronald Reagan! Anyone who needs proof that they are heading into fascism just needs to read up on the topic and see for themselves.
Here are some examples: Extreme pride regarding nationalism. Disdain for the importance of human rights, the supremacy of the military, sexism, anti- immigration, controlled mass media (fox news equals propaganda), religion and government are intertwined, power of labor suppressed or eliminated, and power of corporations protected. I hope that we wake up before these nut cases get a majority. If they do, it will not be a happy ending for anyone. Before you vote, read up.
Generally speaking, fascism is an ideology where the most important figure is the state. The state has a mandatory army, women are expected to contribute to the state by giving birth to many healthy children, and state takes control of businesses or tightly regulates them to increase productivity. Fascism also features a charismatic leader with a cult of personalty, secret police, and a one-party election system. Republicans support none of this.
Some republicans may be fascists, others may not be. Some democrats may be fascists, others may not be. And regarding those who are fascists: Maybe they have a legitimate reason they feel this way. Some people may have fascist personal views towards our country but may not act on them. There is a very large grey area surrounding this issue, and this question is putting it into black and white. That is not a healthy way to think.
Nazis were utterly in favor of universal health care, animal rights (Hitler was a vegetarian), anti-capitalism, a cult of state, a removal of religion from every aspect of life, and very eugenic. Does ANY of this sound familiar? Of course, most of the 'yes' people reading this will continue to call me a fascist just because I disagree with them, which pretty much sums up the debate about fascism anyway.
First off it is deeply concerning that people who avidly support Bernie Sanders jump to accuse republicans of being facists. First of all Nazi stands for national SOCIALIST party. I mean come on the Nazis were a socialist party just like Sanders but unlike misinformed liberals I will not claim anyone is a nazi unless they were actually part of the nazi party. Next a facist government requires a BIG government that controls people's daily activities. Now anyone who knows anything about the Republican Party would know that perhaps our biggest issue it the growing government republicans want the government to have as simple functions as possible while maintaining the safety of our country the democrats are the only party trying to increase the governments size just like the facists. Furthermore the constitution was created to protected the citizens of the United States from a facist like government however republicans are the only ones defending the constitution. Don't believe me? Well look no further than college campuses across the country. As we all know the second amendment has long been attacked by liberals however now the first amendment has as well. With all the insane rhetoric about "micro aggressions" "safe spaces" "trigger warnings" the polictically correct left has started a war against the two first rights on the bill of rights. Final point I'll make even though I can go longer is look at religion for example liberals will often say that republicans attempt to impose Christianity on others and that republicans are not secular. While I believe being secular is impossible for anyone because like it or not the USA is built on Jewish and Christian values. In fact almost every developed nation is. Also to all the democrats saying they support secularism how come you have no issue with the government getting involved in religion? I mean a bill in GA was just vetoed due to an uproar from Hollywood over a bill that granted priests the right to marry who they wanted. The idea that republicans are facists is ubsurd and if you believe it you are likely an idiot.
I believe in a Free-Market Economy and I am Socially Conservative. FASCISTS DID NOT BELIEVE IN A FREE-MARKET ECONOMY!! Claiming that a whole party is Far Right is totally outrageous. It's like if I called the Democratic Party Socialists or Communists. They are all for Welfare, Food Stamps, and a country dependent on their government. I will say that if Democrats keep going to the left, they will very soon become Socialists and Communists, but if anything, the Republican Party is becoming too Moderate. They are willing to grant amnesty before securing the border and even though they are Constitutionally obligated, they don't seem too concerned with defeunding Obamacare.
Anyone who believes the Republican party is fascist has no idea what fascism is. I don't say this as a Republican, I say it as a National Socialist.
Here are some proofs using National Socialism as a guide - which has many things in common with fascism:
The NSDAP was against war profiteers - the GOP has no problem with this.
The NSDAP was pro-minimum wage - the GOP sees it as some sort of horrible monster.
The NSDAP was pro-religious freedom - the GOP wants to legislate Christianity.
The NSDAP was pro-benefits for elderly - the GOP tries to slash benefits whenever it can.
The NSDAP was anti-globalist - the GOP is against trade protectionism.
The NSDAP believed unequivocally in evolution - the GOP still tolerates the ludicrous ideology of young Earth creationism.
The NSDAP was pro-regulation of corporations - the GOP is heavily against all regulation of corporations.
The NSDAP had universal health care - the GOP hates this.
The NSDAP had a single state run labor union which imposed serious restrictions on employers and employees in order to meet the needs of both employers and employees - the GOP despises trade unions and any bargaining whatsoever.
One could extensively flush out this list - but these are just a few of the many many differences between Republicans and fascists. Fascists wouldn't consider Republicans their enemy as much as Communism, but it'd be pretty close.
In short, if you truly believe the GOP is fascist, you have no idea who or what fascism is.
Hello, I would like to state my opinion as a fascist/national socialist. First off, everyone who said yes has absolutely no idea what they're talking about. My fellow NS party members actually had a discussion on this very recently, and we want to assure everyone that the Republican Party is definitely NOT fascist. To an uninformed member of the Democratic Party, the Republicans may appear to fall in line with many of the characteristics of fascism, but I assure you all that Republicans lack almost all of the fundamental building blocks of fascism. The fact is that Democrats (and Republicans for that matter) don't really know what a fascist is. Fascism combines statism (a concept which democrats embrace) with nationalism (a concept that republicans embrace). Also, Trumps economic policies reflect that of a typical 1980s laissez-faire capitalist, so he definitely cannot be a fascist. I think that the best description of Mr. Trump would be an American Nationalist, but definitely NOT a fascist.

Reagan had no problem using the force of government against the will of the people. He issued the first illegals amnesty for seasonal workers instead of improving the system. He latter regretted this. Also he came down heavy handed against the Air-controllers strike, not only squashing their right to unionize but also terminating the employment of those involved in the strike and denying them employment in the industry afterwards. Presently we are dealing with a President (Obama) who mirrors the European socialist style of government, we see how well this is working out for them. The only high ground we can hope for here is in electing those to our government who aspire to govern strictly by the Constitution and not by trending social issues. The States need to step up in accepting responsibility for issues in their own demographics, one size does not fit all and calling for the federal government to be involved is a mistake. We have 50 labs to experiment with, why reduce the number to one?
Painting with a broad brush is oversimplification of the problem. To say this is equivalent to saying "Muslims are Terrorists" and leaving it at that. Fascists are Nationalists, yes. So are patriotic Americans Fascists? If someone believes that you have to submit to a process to live and work in this country and not just show up and get all the benefits of someone born here, does that make them a Fascist? Now Republican Politicians have let down their base, which is frustrated with the Progressive Left roll over everything that Americans with traditional values stand for. For someone on the Left to say that Republicans want to destroy the Constitution without acknowledging the way this Administration has ignored the Constitution is laughable. We are divided. It may get worse before it gets better. We are culturally split between traditional values and today's more secular beliefs. It will take more than just (incorrectly) tagging each party with ideological labels.
