  • Yes- Important Communication Needs

Facebook, Twitter, and other social networking sites are used almost everyday for many good reasons! Let's take the Nigeria kidnapping for instance; people, woman, and children were taken away from their families and suffered in their new lives. However, one phrase on Facebook saying #saveourgirls took the government into instant action in which saved lives right off the bat. How many people know Barack Obama's phone number? Letters? It might take months with all the other work they have. We need these social media sites to help us in the world.

  • Of course why not…

This gives people who are shy a chance to communicate through the social media. Some people have a hard time making friend in schools jobs and around the world. I am pro (for) just come you aren't shy doesn't mean other people aren't don't just think about you! Slefish people!

  • Yes-Second Chances For People

I believe social media and social network sites are good for society because some people have trouble making friends at school,at work or around the world.Social network sites and social media sites give people second chances to make friends without being judged harshly because of looks, ethnic background and/or a disability. For people who are different than the average person, the world is a harsh, cold and unforgiving place but the internet, social media sites and social network sites give people second chances to be themselves.

  • Lacks an honest personal element

Social networking enables people to represent their life in any way they choose for the eyes of hundreds of people, most of which are not likely to be actual 'friends'. This is naturally aided by the desire to be appealing and socially desirable and this can exacerbate the natural human tendency to compare oneself to others. If people are constantly exposed to the pristine selfies, popularity, achievements etc on the social networking pages of the people around them, how can that be good for one's grounding in reality? One thing social networking lacks is the natural, honest, 'in the moment' quality of conversation that can only be achieved through real direct talking.

  • Wastes our time

Children spend a lot of time on these sites which is harmful to us. The most important is waste of time as children spend their time of studied on these sites and are addicted to it. It wastes their time as they feel that they should open and look out for friends in their account. So I am not in favour of these sites.

  • No - due to sustainability.

Twitter, Google and Facebook, among others, have introduced the idea that everything should be free. Much of the web depends on advertising instead. Advertising has the potential to create a tech bubble, which would not be good for society. In addition, competition from smaller innovators is stifled, because these firms won't charge a fair price, and can't compete on advertising. Laserthread is an experiment in this area.

  • No, there shouldn't.

Do we honestly need another form of communication? We have cell phones. We have good old letter writing. And whatever happened to face to face chatting?! None of these forms of communication allow websites and adds to hack into your personal information and figure out who you are and where you live and what you like, and then they constantly nag you!
