Yes, the underprivileged are given so-called freedom by those with higher authority for the benefit of those with higher authority, because the underprivileged are kept dependent on the government. Those who are underprivileged are given food stamps and housing, just so they will keep the powerful in power, and not think about their vote.
The underprivileged are granted "freedom" by those in higher authority and the results of the "freedom" to do and act as they please, unfortunately results in their situations remaining underprivileged. The people in higher authority, who are essentially the people with money, continue to benefit from the poor staying poor.
In the case of Democratic politicians and their supporters this case is true. The Democrats keep their voters by continually helping aid the lower-income families and provide benefits to people who need government assistance. The people receiving the benefits are the ones who continually vote for the Democrats. It's a circle of direct help to each party.
I do not believe the underprivileged are given any freedom. Please try to perceive a person who works a low-wage job. Maybe they have children, but maybe they don't. They work for minimum wage with absolutely no benefits. They make less than $200 a week and can't save money back or pay off loans because it takes everything they make to just pay the bills. What kind of freedom is that?
