  • Yes they are important for a school student

Uniforms do not help express ones personality or feelings people say that in order to achieve your potential you have to be youreslf but unifroms help with that. Uniforms create one being that is all the same people do not judge clothes anymore but what phone you have or if you have one, so clothes at school is no problem shouldn't people be able to express their self anywhere they like especially at school mufti not uniiforms help people to be who they want to be without others saying who they should be clothes gives them a reassurence and a high self-esteem

  • Uniforms are necessary.

Uniforms are necessary. In environments that are competitive, like school, uniforms allow for the pressure to be some what alleviated on the students that do not have as much money. The pressure is not there to spend copious amounts of money on the latest brands just so the kids can look cool.

  • Yes, but to an extent.

Uniforms should be enforced at schools, but not to a rediculous level, there should be a school T-shirt and maybe a general colour for shorts and jumpers. But there is really no need for the rediculous uniforms some schools enforce, with socks and hair clipsthat can only be a certain colour. Students should be made to wear the T-shirt or face consequences, and certained coloured hats, shoes, socks etc. Should be encouraged, not enforced and there should be no consequences for not wearing them.

  • Yes they are necessary.

Uniforms are necessary for the sole reason that it creates uniformity among students. No one needs to discriminate the other on the basis of clothing or how stylish they 'look'. The individuality of a person is defined by his character and his behaviour and not the way he wears clothes to school or college. Those are places where they are educated, therefore uniforms provide a sense of equality among everyone to get the same education. Yes, the way a person wears his/her clothes maybe defines a part of him/her, but it's not the only way and is not necessary in school/college. As for extra costs, buy just 2 sets and wash them without getting frills so that there's no need to iron it out too ;)

  • Yes they... Are. They are necessary.

A person ought to be able to express themselves as individual independent of their clothing. You are in school to learn, not to show off how wealthy your parents are and what designer brands you could afford to buy on their credit card. You aren't there to advertise your body for potential sexual partners. You aren't there to demonstrate your affiliation with a gang, your preference for various music groups, or whatever. Schools ought to be run like businesses - if they don't have uniforms, they at least need dress codes that mandate clothing that doesn't distract, offend, or titillate so that everyone can remain focused on the task at hand. You have your whole life outside of school to impress people with your clothes.

  • Uniforms or individulity?

  • Uniforms are not necessary.

Students will always be able to pick on something about a student whether its a school with a uniform or not (or about their fashion sense or not). This is because teenagers are highly competitive creatures who feel a huge need to conform to peer pressure. Uniforms will only make students want to compete with each other e.g. compete with other factors such as skirt length or the type of shoes worn with the uniform.

  • Kids should not wear unifroms

You need to wash unifroms and sometimes kids don't have no time to do the washing and their parens are at work so they cant do the washing. And plus unifroms have never been needed. There is no law that kids should wear unifroms. Plus the school will just be plainly wasting money

  • No Uniforms in Schools !

Its simply for individuality. With or Without uniforms kids are still going to act the same way, cliques. Just because kids wear the same thing doesn't mean they're all the same, and kids know that. The only thing that uniforms do is ruin a child's unique way of expressing themselves. Uniforms aren't needed.

  • Uniforms are not necessary

Uniforms are not necessary for the simple reason that it only adds cost, it takes out the simple decisions a student should make such as what to wear, it hinders the individuality of the student, it is burdensome to have to laundry and iron the uniforms. Unlike when you don't have uniforms, students are bound to become more comfortable with their own style of clothing and at the same time shaping their individuality.

  • No, they are not necessary

Kids would be able to feel more comfortable while at school. Students will not have creativity , if what they wear are chosen for them. School uniforms limit personal expressions. Also school uniforms have no affect on kids academic performance, it does not improve their studies. Students would be able to feel that school is not putting stress on them. Wearing uniforms can add stress and confusion to a student.

  • Uniforms are not necessary

I am not sure if the question meant to be "Are they preferable", but I will go by what it says. Uniforms have never been necessary, they are not required in all schools by law, and deprivation of uniform is certainly not a cause of death I have heard of.

  • Uniforms are not necessary.

I use to be in a school the required uniforms. Uniforms rob students of their individuality. It suppose to unite the student but for most students it just gives them another reason not to like their school. The only kids that like it are the once the do not want to be judged. Schools that requires uniform has a born dreary aura around it even more so than usually. You wear the same uniform that by the end of the year you get tired of it and you just want to burn it. And what is this really all for. The school look preppy? A false sense of security? If someone really want to sneak in to the school the could just got by the uniform a local store no question ask or more realistic just walk in the school and if anyone ask you anything you just say your a guest. The would make more sense for student to be required to wear a ID instead. You get the same level of security but keep the student individuality intact.
