Ban on smoking in public places: Should cigarettes be illegal?

  • No it shouldn't

No because its peoples habits and if they want to suffer then let them suffer and if other people dont like it them they can stay away from them. And if you made a law about it you really think people are going to listen, no there probably not. Thats my opinion.

  • Millions of people die from smoking horrible cigarettes they are messing up their whole lives.

They are ruining their lives every time they smoke they lose the years of their lives studies say. Teens are even smoking now our world is changing every second in good ways and bad ways cigarettes in one of the bad ways. Yes the should most defiantly be banned. YES.

  • No, they should not.

Ban on smoking in public places, and making cigarettes illegal are two different things. Keeping people from smoking in public places is a great move because not everyone should have to be exposed to that, but illegalizing it would cause a lot of problems. It has been legal so long it would end with disaster.

  • Smoking should not be illegal in public places or otherwise

I'm not 100% sure what this question is asking. Whether it's about cigarettes should be illegal or just in public places? My answer remains the same in both. Cigarettes should be both legal, and aloud in participating public places. Bar can voluntarily bad smoking to begin with, and it should not be up to the state to tell a business owner what can and can not be aloud in their establishment. As for cigarettes being illegal in general, we should be going the other way and reversing vice laws. As all prohibitions have shown, banning a substance does not make it impossible to obtain. People are going to do as they please.
