Banning child performers: Should children be allowed to work in the performing arts or professional sports?

  • Yes they should be allowed to work with whatever they want to.

I think that children should be allowed to work in the performing arts of sports if they choose that is what they want to do. They actually have to want though, not some stubborn parent pushing their dreams onto the child. If the child really wants to they will learn a great deal of responsibility and patients since it is associated with that kind of job, which even if the field does not work out for them they can take with them later on in life.

  • Yes, children with special abilities should be allowed to profit.

Yes, children should be allowed to work in the performing arts, because they should be allowed to earn a profit if they are able. Children can earn a great deal of money at a young age. This can help their parents and other loved ones. Children also enjoy performing and earning a living at it will improve their self-esteem and give them life skills.
