Best instagram photos: Should people leave their family photos to the mercy of social media?

    People are already able to look at you through your webcam. Your credit card tells you what you spent money on. Your smartphone makes it possible for people to track you. If you want "privacy" you should not use the internet. That's going to be hard though since most of us are already addicts.

Some experts suggest we should exercise more caution. But surely, an employer searching for you on social networks would only see stuff you had posted yourself? If they were also checking the accounts of your parents and family, then basing their decision to employ you on photographs of you as a child, that would be the actions of a creepy, intrusive, inappropriate company that you really, really don't want to have anything to do with. If they stalk prospective employees like a sociopathic ex, what are they like with people who already work for them?

A person should print or back up their most important photos so their memories aren't at the mercy of someone else.
