Biker gang shoot out: Will stricter gun laws keep similar events from happening?

  • It's impossible to keep it from every happening but it will definitely lower crime rates in the US!

Obviously, stricter gun control laws will make it harder for criminals to get guns. A lot of people don't understand what gun control laws mean. They don't mean "get rid of all guns" they mean "make sure sane people have guns, not mentally ill or unstable people." So when conservatives say "your taking away my freedom and violating the second amendment!" they are wrong UNLESS they know that they are unstable and won't be able to get a gun, if they are responsible and sane then nobody is stopping them from getting a gun. Also the second amendment refers to the militias, not common citizens. Also a lot of criminals are not that smart, so if you make it harder for them to do something they are more likely not to do it. Lastly, looking at other countries with stricter gun control laws, like Australia, you can see that after they passed strict gun control laws their crime rate dropped by more than 55%. You'd think these statistics would be proof enough that gun control works.

  • Make it less likely but not prevent

Stricter Laws make an act less likely to occur or increase punishment for engaging in act as opposed to keeping law the same. So passing stricter gun laws makes it less likely. Does that mean there will be less gun crime, No. There are multiple factors that influes gun crime or any crime. But saying well it won't stop the crime does not mean we shouldn't try to make crime less likely,

  • We need more stringent gun control laws to revent further incidents such as the recient event in Waco, Texas.

Without new gun laws to turn the tide of violent lunacy from gun owners, we will continue to have horrific events such as the Waco, Texas shootings. For those who defend the 2nd amendment, remember that the Constitution once allowed slavery and prevented women from voting, so the argument of "it is our Constitutional Right" falls far from being even close to a legitimate argument.

  • O. M. G. Woooow!

I honestly don't what retard force on this one dimensional childish debate to choose from

    Let's see:

There's The Demoratic-Green-Neo Hippy-Anti Gun-Liberals: Who want a harmless constutional amendment used by the wrong people to be taken away from the right people who correctly use guns (This will lead into my argument later)

On The Other Side of Evil: The More Common Old Retarded Inbred White Racist Paleoconservative-Tea Bagging Republicans who thinks were trying to ILLEGALIZE their constutional second amendment to bear arms.

Both sides of this coin are equally as evil I will put in the logical three-dimensional side for the intelligent people while the non-intelligent one dimensional people argue with their 'statistic', 'logistics' and 'facts'

I'll say this: The name of The Bill..Which I hope soon to be Constutional Amendment known as 'Gun Control' is NOT the act to ILLEGALIZE or BAN guns because it goes against the second amendment right to Bear Arms.

Gun Control actually means GUN CONTROL!

    CONTROL!

    CONTROL!!

    CONTROL!!!

    Look up what CONTROL means!

Know onto what GUN CONTROL actually DOES

1 - Make it illegal for public/private gun sellers to give guns to felonious convicts.

2 - A one week waiting for any type of gun

3 - Separating low level guns, medium level guns and high level guns to class one - low level, class two - medium level and class three - high level

4 - ILLEGALZING class four - semi automatic and automatic machine guns

5 - Making it ILLEGAL for mental health patients to buy guns

6 - Have businesses/cities decide whether you can carry a gun their business/city

There's a few more personal adjustments I'd make myself by both tightening and loosening some past laws whilst creating new laws.

    Any questions?

  • Stricter Gun Laws Do Not Prevent Criminal Violence

Stricter gun laws will not stop criminals from obtaining weapons and committing crimes. Gun running will not stop and would like increase with stricter gun laws. I believe gun safety education and enforcing already existing laws is more practical than creating additional regulations. It also my opinion that decriminalizing marijuana would assist in lowering gun violence. Legalizing marijuana would allow a legal revenue stream.

  • Laws change nothing

Do marijuana laws keep people from smoking weed? Does bullying stop because it is a rule? Just because a law is made doesn't mean that everyone is going to follow it. Guns don't kill people, people do. When a person is about to commit a crime, it is a conscious decision whether or not they will still commit it. WAKE UP AMERICA!

  • No, stricter gun control won stop criminals.

No, stricter gun laws will not keep similar events from happening. Introducing stricter gun legislation only makes it more difficult for law abiding citizens to get guns. In my opinion, if a criminal wants a gun, they will go out and find one. In fact, states with stricter gun control actually have an increase in gun related crimes.

  • No, people will always have access to firearms.

Stricter gun laws may make it harder for law abiding citizens to get a weapon, but it will not keep incidents like this from happening? People will always find ways around the law, and in the instance that guns are gone, there are many other weapons that will cause damage or harm to other people.
