Breastfeeding in public: Is breastfeeding important to babies' health?

  • Yes it is.

Breastfeeding is very important for babies' health. Breastfeeding ensures that the baby is protected from serious illness for the first few months of their life. It does this because breastfeeding passes on the mother's immunities to the child. This is very important in the first few months of life. Also, it increases bonding between the mother and child.

  • Yes it has been proven to help the baby develop

Breast feeding is very nutritious and is encouraged to mothers by most doctors. A baby needs it's mothers milk. Now I don't believe that a mother should be aloud to purposely breast feed in public. If the mother can she should take her baby to the bathroom or a private area to feed her child.
