Yes, it does seem that more people feel free to discriminate against others now that Trump is in office. There have been posts on social media where people have actually said that very thing. Something to the effect of, "get over it. This is Trump's America now." It is sickening to see our country torn down in such a way, but unfortunately, this is what people voted for.
People are still people at the end of the day. People will always be mean to each other to a certain extent because that is human nature. A person doesn't just start being mean to someone in a wheelchair just because Trump was elected president. That person was probably a terrible person before.
I strongly disapprove this. This has nothing to do with Trump being in office. Discrimination is personal and i think the driver has got issues and he actually despised the physically challenged passenger out of his bad heart. We should not blame every act on Donald Trump even if he is not that good.
Just because Mr. Trump is the President of the United States does not mean that people are more free to discriminate. The laws have not changed in the last 10 days. It would take an act of Congress to overturn the ADA and considering that the ADA was enacted under a Republican President that is unlikely.
