The proposed tax rebate is a good idea. Even though this question is out of date and the rebates have already been approved, sent and spent this was a good idea. Anytime there is a tax reduction, it stimulates the economy and therefore helps the American citizens overcome the daily struggle to live.
The question is out of date; the rebates already happened. As post surveys of the rebates showed, most Americans used the rebates to pay bills. This would not seem to help stimulate ‘disposable income purchases’, but later studies showed that for those who used the money to catch up on bills, they were able to save money later and spend it at their discretion. It provided a good model for stable stimulation.
