Can anti-American terrorist attacks be blamed on U.S. violence in the Muslim world?

  • Yes, I believe that anti-American terrorist attacks can indeed be blamed on U.S. violence in the Muslim World.

In wake of recent events, many Americans are questioning whether or not America itself should be blamed for the anti-American attacks. The U.S. Became involved with the Middle East (predominately Muslim) in 1942 with the Truman administration. The most important reason for the U.S. Involvement is oil. The American economy is held stable by the sale and consumption of oil. For this reason alone, the United States has been involved with the Middle East ever since. Tension has risen between American soldiers inhabiting the Muslim world, and violence towards America, made by anti-American terrorists, can directly be attributed to the U.S. Occupation of the Middle East.

  • Yes, anti-American terrorist attacks can be blamed on U.S. violence toward Muslims.

Do I think it is right? Of course not. The Muslim people like their world the way it is. Although we are trying to help, if they don't want it, pull out and let them be. Many of the Muslim people here in the United States are peaceful and loving people. They are very intelligent and if they come to America, it is for a better life.

  • During the Cold War. . .

The US supported radical muslim groups in the middle east, as they did not want to see it fall to communism. This then backfired on the US, when the radical groups, well, acted radical towards the US. It is the US who encouraged these radical acts, and now the US is acting like they didn't cause these middle east issues

  • Yes, anti-Smerican terrorist attacks can be blamed on U.S. violence toward Muslims.

  • No, I don't believe so

It is not fair to simply say that the U.S. should blame itself for being attacked. The fact is that the people over there are nutty and would attack us regardless. They also plot terrorist attacks in other countries as well, so saying the U.S. is only attacked because of ourselves is nonsense.

  • No, not entirely.

U.S. Violence in the Muslim world isn't the overriding reason for anti-American terrorist attacks. The Muslim world is not the same as groups of religious extremists, so it is unfair to characterize Muslims as having anything to do with U.S. Violence. Muslims are peace loving people. But just as neo-Nazis and white supremacists, Muslim extremists are responsible for violence due to their hatred and prejudice.
