Coffee is an acidic drink with a moderate level of caffeine. Coffee drinkers also commonly add cream and sugar to the drink. In large quantities coffee is bad or even dangerous for a person's health. The acidity can cause ulcers in the stomach. The caffeine, when coffee is drinken to extreme excess, can cause anxiety, increased heartbeat, nausea, sweating, and in rare cases of extreme caffeine consumption, heart attack and death. In moderation coffee should not be harmful to health, but in excess it can be.
Almost everything can be bad for your health if you over indulge in it. Every few years we get a study about coffee that says it is bad for you and then on the alternative years, it seems we get a report that says it is good for you. I believe the best thing to do is imbide in moderation. Not just with coffee, but with everything.
A regularly caffeinated cup or two of coffee in the morning is a helpful stimulant to get your mind awake and ready for the day. The problem comes about when people drink highly caffeinated coffee throughout the day, especially when they are using it to push through work when they are tired. Excess caffeine can make a person jittery and actually have an adverse effect on your waking and sleeping cycles. It is a stimulant, and it probable is telling that they won't give you coffee when you are on a heart ward in a hospital.
Coffee, in excess, can be detrimental to one's overall health. The reasn for this is because it is a psycho-stimulant that really gets your nervous system fired up. It even causes adrenaline to be dumped into your body. Too much can cause anxiety, tension, and heart palpitations. Can even sometimes be fatal.
