  • It is possible

No one is born racist or gender-biased. It is only taught. Taught by people who lived in a world where it was ok, but the world is changing. One by one people will realize it is wrong. We need to fight it. Change our ways. Do whatever we can to help. Don't be on the wrong side of history

  • It definitely can if we just fight for it.

Today we hear of rallies, marches, debates and all others just for equality. And it can definitely be said that there is change happening because of these. Equality is not something that can be brought about by magic -- it's through constant action. So, yes, it /can/ exist, as long as we put in the effort to make it so.

  • We Can Be Kind

With courage to speak out against the people who oppose others, we can have social equality for everyone when we choose KIND. When turn your face away, fail to help a friend, the world grows increasingly smaller, sinched together by our negative choices. We choose kindness above hate, love above sadness.

  • If we try then obviously yes

We ourselves our responsible for this bullshit bcuz if we treat everyone equally then our children wont question and all this race and shit its all man made. Equality, its something none of us really think about but we should. This change needs to be made now. For our future generations sake, and for ours.

  • All of the No answers are utter bullshit

Any two people with the same ability should be able to do the same job. For example, there is no reason someone in a wheelchair shouldn’t be able to have any sort of executive position, however that same person would not be suited to fight fires. True equality is compromised when citizens are isolated from their true potential. Most of these isolated citizens are either financially or educationally disadvantaged. These disadvantages limit access to supportive services, educational opportunities, and eventually occupational opportunities.
I truly believe that equality could be realized under the correct circumstances. Once the governments of the world make it so that everyone has the same privileges and advantages, then will be the time for social equality. This would be achieved by the majority of people seeing everyone else no higher or lower than them, whether or not they truly are

  • Equality can exist!!!

Equality, its something none of us really think about but we should. Equality would make such a big difference in our world, less shootings, less arguments, less racial comments, less discrimination. Our world would thrive. This change needs to be made now. For our future generations sake, and for ours.

  • Equality is life

Yes, equality can exist in modern society. It can and it will. Barack Obama's second term election proves that the American people want equality and a fair chance for everyone. One day soon enough, the GOP will learn that being a President is much more than just managing the Economy. All conservatives argue about is the economic state of the nation. The monetary system. They don't realize that folks voted in this past election largely because of social and domestic issues, such as gay marriage, women equality, immigrant issues, etc.
We want change and we are currently doing what is necessary to spark that change. It is undeniable and picking up speed.

  • There can be equality.

All humans beings are as important as the next. What prevents people from recognising this is their ego. We are led to believe that certain people pose more significant in our society. Feeling like they are 'higher up' boosts their confidence, giving them the feeling of power and control. Nothing is impossible and we are more than capable as a species to create a world where everyone has equal rights.

  • Equality in society is impossible

Equality in modern society can and will never exist. And here is the most simple reason for this. Every society has what is called a division of labor, which leads to a certain hierarchy and division of classes, which in turn is the direct cause for class struggle and conflict. And this conflict will always divide us into the powerful and the powerless. There I said it "powerful and powerless" = inequality

  • No equality cannot exist in modern society. Resources are limited and the strongest groups will always have the advantage in acquiring them.

Equality cannot exist in modern society because resources are limited. Groups with the most money and education have the advantage in retrieving the resources. People are by nature selfish and so once they acquire the resources they are not likely to share them. This means that there is an uneven distribution and a society without equality.

  • No, but inequality does not mean lack of equal opportunity.

There has never been true equality, and I highly doubt there will be- and in some respects, I hope there will never be equality. Everyone deserves an equal chance, and no one should be discriminated against for irrelevant factors, but freedom is just as important as equal opportunity, and with people making different choices and simply being different people, there will be some level of inequality between people. The short story "Harrison Bergeron" depicts a society in which true equality is sought, and I think the picture it paints has truth to it.

  • It is a myth

No one will ever or has ever been equal. For instance, a girl may have opportunities and options that a male doesn't have but it can also be reversed. There is such thing as a balance. Balance is the way humans have been able to survive through the years. Equality is basically is having the exact same opportunities and privileges but no one can.

  • It cannot exist

We live in a very contradicting society. People praise 'everyone' to be 'unique' and 'different' as it's what defines us. However, the irony behind this is that to reach equality, we need to be similar, or at least tolerant, of everybody else and I think that is fairly hard to achieve as one doesn't always agree with another. Furthermore, there needs to be order, which is unfortunately attained through a superior power. The idea of being completely equal is fairly unrealistic.

  • Can men and women be equals?

Societies were created for women, not men. Men have no need for a society. So no males will ever rank higher then females. Women live longer, generally have few health problems, and they usually end up with everything the couple made together. Any male worth his salt never ever touches a female in a violent manner. Those clowns aren't Men, they're boys. And any males out in the world who think their in charge, I say you are a liar! Most good men do whatever females ask them. At least the real men do. Those areas where males dominate, are doing so for the money! Most are because of a female.

  • Define equality for me

Cause imagine it as breaking a finger, that finger wont be the same it MAY look the same but its not, its different imagine a smart person as the broken finger and a dumber person as the working finger, smarter maybe more smart then the dumber but they are more depressed then the dumber, now its differently for the disabled cause the disabled are the broken and the normal are the just fine finger, Economy no because if we had equality in eco then we would have socialism, now how about the sexes this is a no cause one will ask for more rights then the other or the government will have more uses for one sex over the other, for instance women have more rights then men, and more protecting in the system, women most of the time get 60% less jail sentence then men, women have the right to abort there child without the fathers consent, protection against circumsion, the list goes on and on and on, the reason women have more rights because gynocentrism is one and the other is that they asked for more, there will NEVER be true equality or even equality between anything, and or anyone

  • Equality will never exist

As much as people tried to be nice to to one and other the world will just go back to the same old junk it was in the the first place society doesn't really understand what you change or do now will make the future a whole different path the world need better things and role models no fairness will never happen in this discriminated world.
