  • They are without question a threat

By virtue of their existence and their proclamation of themselves as Caliphate they are a threat. They must be exterminated completely. All of their citizens - men, women, and children - must be hunted down and put to the sword. All those who would support them, and their entire families, must also be put to the sword. Execution apparatus: flamethrowers and napalm in stadiums, North Korea style. Total extermination is the only real solution for degenerate subhuman filth such as those Islamist parasites.

  • They already are:

There beyond a terrorist group at this point, they are engaging the Iraqi military in the open, not just guerrilla tactics and bombings. This won't just be a matter of a few attacks on the US, If they are able to consolidate power in the middle east, defeat the Iraqi government/finish off the Syrian Government/other groups contending for control, they will pose a direct military threat to the surrounding nations in the region and beyond.

The situation could result in any number of ways:

    >3rd Iraq War, coalition forces, are forced to return by one of the nations in the region who would be threatened by ISIS.(and a sizable amount of the worlds oil supply is in the region)

    >Iran could invade annex a sizable chunk of Iraq or just strengthen its border defenses, forcing ISIS to go elsewhere, Syria/Kuwait/Jordan would be the most likely targets, assuming ISIS is successful.

    > Turkey/Saudi Arabia, would most likely be better able to resist ISIS and would be more likely to have US and European Support.

    >Since ISIS seems to be able to secure a large chunk of Iraq and Syria, they will be able to recruit and train fresh troops combine that with the vast amount of money they have at their disposal they should be able to arm them. Eventually they will send out recruits to other places in the world, they will not be stuck in Iraq and Syria.

    >that is assuming they are successful and maintain their unification, if they don't they could split up into mini dictatorships/local warlords controlling their own chunk of the country fighting each other and the outside world.

The fact is there is no quick fix to the problem, this wont be a quick war, and the longer we wait the harder it will get. The US and its allies may be stuck providing a Garrison to Iraq/Syria to keep order not just for a few years but potentially decades.

If we leave too early, we will most-likely end up, with this situation occurring again once the troops withdraw, so long as we are dependent on oil, we will be stuck playing police man in the middle east.

  • Anything is possible.

For those that don't know, ISIS is a new terrorist organization that stationed themselves in, where else, the Middle East. So far that are a big threat because they have got their hands on equipment abandoned by the Iraqi military( These things include: guns, ammo, medical supplies, vehicles, and US military Tech that the US gave to Iraq). They forced serveral thousands of Iraqis( who wern't Islamic)to abandon their homes. Unlike most terrorist, ISIS gave non Islamic people three chooses, Leave, Convert, or Die(Which is pretty fair for terrorist). They even managed to take over Monsul Dam(Might have spelled it wrong) which is the largest dam in Iraq. Though it was taken back, it took serveral US air strikes and a lot from Iraqi ground forces. This shows that they can cause some real damage. Maybe in the next few months we might see some terrorist attacks in the US.

  • They have even said stuff on social media

Isis always post stuff on twitter with our weapons when Iraq wouldn't take them. They have even texted my friend that they were going to kill her. They're already a threat and this threat is getting bigger and bigger with each new recruit they get. They have posted "we can't wait to taste American blood" after the paris attack. They have posted even what states were the main targets. If we let them into America we need to know 4 things 1. Who's giving them clothes 2. Whos feeding them 3. Where are they getting there education and 4. Where are they staying. Some people think that if we let only the woman and children in, nothing will be bad. First the children are taught to kill and same with the woman. Even if we let them in with nothing they know how to make homemade bombs and stuff. They blew something up witha simple soda can. How was someone supposed to know that there even could've been a bomb in there, they always want to do stuff on the down low. Everyone thought they were going to bomb on black friday, but as I said they want to do everything when we least expect it. This is what I think will happen if we let isis get stronger or even let into America.

  • Yes they can

The only thing I would argue is that once again, we are attacking the wrong region. No talks about the fact that it is Saudi, and Arab Emirates money fueling these groups. 17 out of 19 of the 9/11 hijackers were Saudi and Arab Emirates citizens.
No more political bs. Certain allies that we have ; are not our allies at all. Truth needs to be stated publicly by our leaders.
One of two things needs to happen.
    1) We grant their requests, and stop backing Israel, pick up and leave our TDY bases in Saudi, Turkey, and the entirety of the middle east and Africa.
    2) Go to WW2 style , all out war with the CORRECT countries. That means no more alteration of "The rules of engagement.''. No more waiting for NATO to give us permission. No more half way engagements where we are selective as to the measure of force used.

These are the choices we have.
Stateside; terrorism is a law enforcement problem. However, our military can cut off the head of the snake with a ''real'' war at any time.

  • It's a distraction made by the US government to do more greedy things.

I'm not saying the people in ISIS are these good freedom fighters. However, it's our own government that is the problem. The US government made ISIS to terrorize so the politicians would have less of a chance of being caught being greedy with power. While these old politicians are getting rich the younger of us are being corrupted by their lies. There telling are youth to pick up arms and go kill some people for a cause they don't believe in. By all means, stop ISIS, but be mindful the US government asked for an ISIS.
