  • The Greeks were

Pretty much most of the way there. Obviously there has to be some divine revelation in the person of Jesus himself. Once God has made himself physically present it solidified certain principles.

I suspect that this is why Jesus appeared after there was a Jewish nation with strong Greek and Roman influences.

  • To say otherwise is ignorance

People who assume the Bible requires no thought have either never read the Bible or never read the Bible as it was intended to be read. No where does the Bible ask us to turn our brains off and stop thinking. In fact, several places in the Bible challenge us to think for ourselves where something may be left to subjectivity (like eating meat that's sacrificed to animals).

The worldview of Christianity is much more complex than most people believe. In fact, to believe Christianity as a coherent religion, you have to perform exegesis and hermeneutics to find out what the Bible actually would've meant to the people who heard it, and you have to lay out the Bible as a whole not just as its separate verses that get thrown into songs. When you do that, it makes perfect sense, but one can only arrive at a Christianity that makes sense through the effort of philosophy.

Anyone who disagrees with that has not made a sincere attempt to understand Christianity whether they claim it as their religion or not.

  • It's all based on the Bible

Philosophers do not wed themselves to one book, they write multiple books an a variety of topics providing rational opinions and examples to prove their point. The key here is the ability to reason and trace causes for how you think reality works. Philosophy forces you to use your brain while the Bible tells you to turn your brain off.

  • Religious thinking can in no way coincide with philosophical thinking.

This is because philosophy can be criticized. When a man puts in doubt a philosophical question that person is in no way condemned. In fact, Philosophy is based on constant criticism, and criticism is for the most part he is cherished. On the other hand, throughout history, Christians have put to death those who doubt or criticize the bible. These two kinds of mindsets point to two different hopes for outcomes. For instance, Philosophies main purpose is to get closer to the truth. While, religions objective is to control a population. This method of control is one in which an individual must dogmatically follow certain ideologies. This is a very effective method by which you can bend others to your will. This can be seen in Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, North Korea and many more. In these nations as in the Christian bible conformity is cherished, for conformity is control. Philosophy has a quite different approach. An approach in which the true philosopher wants to approximate himself or herself to a more accurate way of perceiving reality. Thus, if a different hypothesis comes along it is considered, not outcast. In conclusion, Christianity as all religions is no philosophy. Thus I have stated that philosophy has nothing to do with religion.
Yet this was not the question. The question was whether or not an individual can philosophically become Christian. To this I answer no. This is because to reach the point in which you dogmatically believe something even if your original approach was philosophical one it is not philosophical any more. This is because philosophy does not use dogmatic thinking. In other words, at one point you must leave the rode of philosophy to reach religion. In conclusion, one cannot reach religious thinking having used philosophical thinking because the two are different kinds of thinking in an of themselves. In other words a man cannot have gone from riding a bike to driving a car without having at one point gotten on the car and abandoned the bike.

  • Religion is Natural.

Religion is a natural consequence of ignorance. It has and always will claim to explain the unknown. This behavior dates back to the beginning of humanity, with the oldest lasting structure ever discovered, is believed to be a temple. Humans used to think it rains because of god, humans used to think diseases were caused by displeasing god. Religion is simply the human nature of supplementing ignorance with myths.

Id imagine it would be pretty hard to just imagine the story of the bible without hearing of it first. What would be most likely is that you would end up with your own religion that reflects your personal values. As is recorded, every god is reflective of the culture that invented it. This is a reason a new testament was made, because we finally realized that the gods no longer reflected culture, so they made sure that changed.
