  • Yes schools are a waste of taxpayer money. Why give those 7 people, the lawyer, dentist, etc., the decision where my dollars should go?

We need to stop relying on elected officials to know what's best for our children. All public schools are just glorified baby-sitters. Every child is slowed down to a mediocre pace. You can't go anywhere with just a High School Diploma so why waste so much time and money towards it. At one point we need to understand that corruption is closer to home than you think. Just look at your local Superintendent pay. Safer school bus, safer facilities?....Nah let's just give the Superpolitician more money.

  • It both can and should

Anything a teacher could teach could be found on the internet(except for weird idiotic science projects like making a mousetrap knock down pins from 2 meters, which makes no sense and has no actual science connections). Also, the internet can reach students at home where they are; instead of an inefficient bus system that takes hours on a trip that should be 15 minutes, to go to a huge taxpayer money draining school building to do the same thing you could do at home(assuming it's even the stuff that matters like basic math) or really don't need like algebra

  • Online Learning the Wave of the Future

The national trend is that online learning can replace traditional schooling in the near future. Do to an increase in technology and interactions, this is a real possibility in a few years. There should be a component where students can receive additional help if the online method is not effective for them, but all in all this will be the new wave of education.

  • The internet is great and all... But really

Nothing can replace the quality of education brought to you by a real person. The internet is helpful, but it just doesn't have that intelligent level of understanding. Besides, if we spent all of our education time on a computer, we would be lacking in social skills. We would be very lonely. A lot of people are lonely already. They don't need to be more lonely.

  • Internet courses arent the same.

As someone who has taken normal classes and internet classes, I will say that the internet courses are not at all the same. It is really easy and simple to google all of your answers with the internet classes and you do not learn half as much as you do in a normal classroom setting. I do not think it can replace school.
